The purpose of the article is to analyze the impact of European integration processes on the financial security of the state.
The article defines the essence and importance of financial security. It is noted that in today's conditions, the most appropriate option for Ukraine to strengthen its financial security is to gain membership in the European Union (EU).
European integration is defined as a strategic course of Ukraine aimed at gaining membership in the EU. It is noted that European integration is the rapprochement of Ukraine with the European Union at the level of laws, rules and customs that exist in society, the ultimate result of which should be Ukraine's accession to the EU.
Attention is drawn to the benefits of European integration for Ukraine, in particular, such as the fight against corruption, judicial reform, constitutional reform and electoral law reform, improvement of the business and investment climate, energy efficiency, and public administration reform. It was noted that EU membership would promote the development of democracy, economic growth, and state security, and would ensure changes in legislation in accordance with European standards. Emphasis was placed on the fact that by becoming a member of the European Union, Ukraine would be able to gain access to the EU single market, which in turn would contribute to strengthening the financial security of the state.
It was noted that the EU today remains the embodiment of democratic values that uphold the rule of law, freedom, and economic development.
It was proposed to strengthen European integration processes in Ukraine in order to strengthen Ukraine’s financial security through the expansion of economic and trade relations between Ukraine and the EU; strengthening cooperation in the field of justice, freedom, and security; resolving issues related to the rule of law; strengthening cooperation in the field of politics and security; ensuring Ukraine’s economic integration into the EU market; accelerating reforms in Ukraine in the field of financial policy and adapting legislation to EU legislation; take measures to increase the competitiveness of Ukrainian companies in European and global markets and improve the investment climate; promote the fight against corruption; ensure additional financial revenues; create conditions to motivate the return of Ukrainian citizens from abroad.
