There are quite a lot of interpretations regarding the organization and holding of sports mass events, but today the following are singled out: achieving a certain level of comfort and satisfaction on the part of both participants and spectators; promotion of a healthy lifestyle; certain psychological relief for participants and spectators; making money and using a totalizer, partial use of participants in mass sports events for political purposes.
The analysis carried out in the article shows that the most mass sporting events are football matches, which in total gather more than 1 billion spectators every year around the world. At the same time, football is a lot of money, which is used to popularize football and make money for football club owners. In addition, it is quite common to sell players to different teams for the purpose of making money. Today, sports law has already developed and exists, which to a certain extent affects the formation of not only social relations, but in some cases also politics and international relations.
Certain types of mass sports events are distinguished by the fact that mafia structures are involved in the organization and holding of tournaments. There are also sports competitions that aim to cause injuries to the participants and in some cases even death.
Mass sports events are rarely held in Ukraine today due to the war waged by the Russian Federation, but Ukrainian athletes participate in various competitions.
