Abstract

The article examines the prospects for the development of transnational corporations in Ukraine in the post-war period. It identifies and analyses the factors influencing the development and activities of TNCs in the post-war period. These factors include the economic situation in the country, legislative and regulatory acts, as well as the political and social environment of the country. The article identifies which sectors of the Ukrainian economy will be the most favourable for investment and why. Energy, agriculture, information technology, infrastructure – it is determined that these sectors may be attractive to multinational companies, as they have high growth and development potential in Ukraine. It is noted that the activities of TNCs are concentrated mainly in the areas of manufacturing, information technology and agriculture. It is concluded that the Ukrainian government should focus on a policy aimed at using all the positive opportunities from the activities of TNCs, as well as at neutralising the negative consequences of their activities. The article also analyses promising areas of action in the context of the war and post-war economic recovery, developed by Ukrainian business leaders in their respective industries. Restoring logistics infrastructure, attracting investment, refunding VAT to exporters, allowing men to travel abroad on business trips, attracting funds from the aggressor country by imposing appropriate sanctions – the policy of the Ukrainian government should be based on the definition of national development priorities and should also be aimed at using all the positive opportunities from the activities of TNCs. It is concluded that in the post-war period, transnational companies have become potential investors in the economy of our country. They are interested in partial economic reorientation and opening new markets and logistics routes.
