Abstract

The article attempts to reveal the legal grounds for countering propaganda and diversification of public opinion by Hungary, which harms the interests of Ukraine. The actions of the Hungarian government, which incite separatism and the division of Ukrainian lands, are considered and identified. The issues raised at the top of the international political arena, which in one way or another are aimed at the annexation of Ukrainian lands to Hungary in both cultural and geopolitical directions, are analyzed.

Cases of Hungary blocking tranches and military aid to Ukraine in favor of Russia's interests are highlighted. After all, according to the publication of The Washington Post, Peter Sijarto said that the security of energy supply is a matter of sovereignty. If someone calls for the impossibility of Hungary's energy supply, he is actually attacking Hungary's sovereignty. And he said as if the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Oleksandrovich Zelenskyy, was proposing to blow up the Druzhba oil pipeline, which transported oil to Hungary. In this way, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary tried to discredit the President of Ukraine, increase the enmity between Hungary and Ukraine, and warn European partners against providing assistance to Ukraine in the war with Russia.

Also, the actions of the Hungarian government repeatedly sowed contradictions in the West of Ukraine, using the problematic of the language issue, imposing the Hungarian language in Ukrainian schools, on street signs and shops. The solution to this issue is relevant to this day and has no simple application.
