Abstract

The article highlights the importance of fingerprinting as a science. It is noted that the complexity and multifaceted problems of collecting, researching and using dactyloscopic information in the investigation and detection of crimes necessitate further development of scientific and legal bases of investigative bodies, experts, improving tools, techniques, methods of working with dactyloscopic information. Based on the analysis of the scientific literature, some current foreign developments in the field of fingerprinting have been identified and characterized, which are promising for use by law enforcement agencies of Ukraine.

Consideration of the issue becomes important for the full and comprehensive prevention of crimes, their detection and investigation of information about the event of the crime and persons involved in it. One of the important sources of information necessary for the investigation is the forensic accounting examination carried out by the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine.

In forensic science, one of the first is the doctrine of human handprints, given the history of origin and use in the detection and investigation of crimes.

Today, the state of criminology makes it possible to identify a person with high reliability on the traces of his palms or fingers. The handprints found at the scene are convincing evidence that a person was present.

Characteristics of the current state of criminology, which has come a long way in its development in the past in some areas to a clear system of scientific knowledge, is based on a high level of comprehensive implementation of scientific and technological progress, in-depth development of scientific knowledge. its methodological problems, tactics and methods of crime investigation. Today, forensic examination makes it possible to identify a person with high reliability by the traces of his palms or fingers. The handprints found at the scene are convincing evidence that a person was present. The most common type of special study is still fingerprinting, given that fingerprints are a "traditional component" of the scene for many types of crime.
