Modern information technologies enable large-scale changes related to the collection, storage, and processing of citizens’ personal data. Additionally, such methods allow for reducing the level of bureaucratic procedures and minimizing the risks of corruption.
The use of distributed ledger technology becomes a popular solution for enhancing the efficiency of government processes and improving e-governance in the country. However, for successful implementation of this approach, an adequate assessment of the problem, its roots, and expected outcomes is necessary.
The theory that capital or wealth is simply information about property rights to various property objects is gaining popularity among lawyers in foreign countries. This information must be properly protected. The lack of an effective system for protecting property rights to commercial information can lead to the loss of capital located in the country, as well as a decrease in the economic impact of national resources. Therefore, it is worth considering the right to ownership of information resources, including personal data, as an object of property rights that require proper protection.
