Abstract

This article is about the fact that demoralization has mostly taken over the Internet space. The devaluation of morality based on universal human values, the striking difference between the declarations made by the authorities and the everyday reality of a crisis society, especially during the period of military aggression, which is extremely far from high ethical ideals, create conditions under which the criminal potential of a person is revealed and at the same time such a person remains in cyberspace unidentified. It is indicated that the imperfection of legislative acts regulating the use of cyberspace has a criminogenic value. We draw your attention to the fact that along with political-legal, organizational-management and cultural-psychological determinants, you can also consider digitalization, which together cause the spread of crime in Ukraine.

The opinion is expressed that crime in the digital environment will continue to grow. This is due to the constant rapid development of digitalization as a source of not only new opportunities, but also serious threats and dangers. In addition, with the development and evolution of digitalization, in our opinion, crime will change and acquire new qualities. This, in turn, requires the development and implementation of modern crime prevention measures in the digital society, which in turn requires the formation of modern, highly effective personnel potential. The article provides the author’s definition of digitalization as a determinant of crime – the introduction of digital technologies with the existing shortcomings of the organizational component of general uncontrolled access to the use of digitalization technologies with antisocial motivation.

It is noted that users of the Internet space have personally encountered cyber crimes to one degree or another. It is noted that cybercrime includes various types of crimes committed with the help of IT technologies. The object of cyber crimes can be both personal data, bank accounts, and personal information of any field of activity. Therefore, other scientists also believe that cybercrime poses a threat not only to our state, but also at the international level, covering almost the entire world.
