Abstract

The article states that conflict (Latin conflictus – collision) is a complex phenomenon that affects various spheres of society. Conflicts can arise between states, nations, businesses, workers and administrations, parents and children, spouses, and so on. Conflicts can be political, ideological, economic, psychological in nature. Criminal-legal conflict arises in the field of general regulatory criminal-legal relations. Their content is law-abiding activities of citizens aimed at exercising their rights and responsibilities. Any criminal offense affects the interests of participants in certain public relations, causes a conflict between the interests of the person who committed the crime and persons who have suffered as a result of illegal behavior of the perpetrator.

Therefore, criminal law relations are initially conflicting. Criminal-legal conflict is a conflict of opposing interests of the person who committed a criminal offense (on the one hand) and the victim, society, state (on the other hand) in the field of public relations protected by criminal law. The author notes that the criminal law conflict arises in the field of general regulatory criminal law relations. Their content is law-abiding activities of citizens aimed at exercising their rights and responsibilities. Any criminal offense affects the interests of participants in certain public relations, causes a conflict between the interests of the person who committed the crime and persons who have suffered as a result of illegal behavior of the perpetrator.

It is concluded that criminal law relations are initially conflicting.
