On socio-legal understanding of criminological analysis of crime

Abstract

The article is devoted to the essence of criminological analysis of crime and the methods used. It is emphasized that the creation of an effective system of crime prevention in Ukraine is impossible without the calculation, analysis and analytical study of all indicators of crime, causes and conditions of its occurrence. This is especially true during martial law, when the number of committed criminal offenses increases significantly.

In order to better understand the concept of criminological analysis, the methods used are considered. Particular attention is paid to the use of an integrated approach to the disclosure of the essence, the establishment of elements and the internal structure of socio-legal phenomena. With its help, the object of study can be studied from the standpoint of integrity and systematicity. The application of this approach involves a historical review of the research activity, followed by the possibility of its forecast, determining the nature, meaning, objectives, principles of combating crime, describing its elements and links, both within the system and with the environment.

It is proved that any social activity can achieve the set goal if it is properly doctrinally defined, directed, organized and optimally provided with resources. Requirements have been formed that fully apply to crime prevention activities, which are a type of public activity.

The author's definition of criminological analysis of crime is presented. characteristics of the leading activities of state bodies, which allows later to conduct an effective set of economic, social, ideological and educational, organizational and managerial, legal measures to prevent crime.
